Let my 35 years of SELLING media help you BUY media EFFECTIVELY
Including my years in college, I have enjoyed over 35 years in media sales! I am fortunate to have chosen a career that I love and has been lucrative. I could not have asked for anything more. Over those 35+ years I have sold print, radio, (Infinity/CBS), and TV/OTT/Digital Video (the last 19 years of my career with Comcast).
I have been fortunate to work with a wide array of clients. I have worked with small direct accounts, side by side with business owners who not only wear many hats, but actually all the hats; thus I understand how important every media dollar invested is in order to deliver results. I have also worked with the markets' largest advertising agencies. My experience working with large agencies put me in the arena of diving into data, metrics, audiences, and other KPI’s to determine a campaign's effectiveness. Blending these two different levels of clients, has given me a great base to understand the importance of attribution models employed by businesses today.
To live a complete life, I have many passions. For a period of about 12 years, I coached 60 youth sport teams, which accounted for over 1000 games and over 2000 practices. I have coached teams that won championships and I have coached teams that finished in last. But the true metric was to make sure EVERY child developed and I helped them learn life lessons.
One of my other passions is fitness. I have been strength training for 40 years, and actually spend time training others. I have big shoes to fill, my mom is 80, plays golf 3-4 days a week, and also works out with a personal trainer.
Another huge passion, my rescue dog Frankie. A Cocker-Spaniel who spent the first two years of life in a cage of a puppy mill. Frankie now brings joy to all he meets!
I would be remiss to not mention my kids. My son Zach, a Penn State grad, and is now building a career in the finance industry. My daughter Gabby, a senior at the University of Miami, and an entrepreneur; she owns ohsnapearringbacks.com.
Lastly, a huge thank you to my dad, Roy Shapiro, who taught me so many life lessons I can write a book. I am fortunate that my dad spent 40 years in the media industry, starting in research and concluding with a 20 year run as the VP/GM of KYW NewsRadio in Philadelphia. The doors that opened for me because I was "Roy's son" were numerous; but I was blessed that he taught me the skills necessary that once the door opened, I stayed in and succeeded.
